Jantje Friese is a German writer and producer. She is the co-creator and co-showrunner of the Netflix original multilingual mystery thriller, 1899, as well as an executive producer and writer. She and her husband, Baran bo Odar, are also the creators of the hit Netflix drama, DARK and showrunners of the Netflix original supernatural drama, Something Is Killing the Children.
